Lazy day in Italy

Today, we decided to take a day off, walk around a LITTLE bit, but mostly take it easy. Here's a few pics of things we found...

Cody: Big gate

Will: Since it Italy, people still drive there scooters through it, and the park...

Cody: That's a castle... Im guarding it with my guns

Will: It was pretty nice, went inside but it was closed

Cody: Kinda a boring castle... who would want to attack that when theres a pretty garden in the front

Will: Dont think the garden was there when it was built...

Taormina/Isola Bella

Cody: We had to pay $8 to see this! HOWEVER, if you were a part of the Europian Union, it was only $4.. pshhh

Will: Yeah, kinda lame, but it was cool!

Cody: Looks like a Texas beach huh?

Will: Island in the middle, with a huge house on the top, Mafia Don?

Cody: Went north to Taormina! Spent most of our time there at Isola Bella

Will: amazing beach, with a little island in the back

Cody: Felt like it was fake... like a disney land park

Will: super clear water, with rock and little fish

Cody: At the top of the Teatro antico

Will: Ocean view

Cody: Will in the teatro... bein emo

Will: No, being artistic!

Cody: In Catania, with some teatro in the background... we probably should have done more research

Will: Yeah, just thought it looked cool, so took a picture.

"I think all this stuff might be a big deal...?"

Cody: Getting used to this Italian breakfast!

Will: After sitting in the Milan airport for 3 hours...

Cody: Pizza night... "Let me guess! German!" - our waiter

Will: Before waiting 45 minutes for the check...

Cody: Having me some kiwi granite in the duomo!

Will: After throwing away his first gnarly caffe granite

Cody: Will in our daycare (hostel)

Will: so hot

Cody: "DOOD... I think there might be horse meat in this (seriously)." Arancini, a popular Sicilian snack

Will: "It's only one tiny piece... and its good for you!"

In Sicily (Catania)

Cody: A night in Pescara... Ale e Will

Will: All the way in SICALY!!

Cody: Dinner in the square

Cody: Couple days before, we ventured further down the beach with our paddleboat

Will: Swimming out to the rocks

Cody: On the boat with our new Italian friend, Simona!

Will: After lots of swimming

Cody: Ecstatic!

Will: We paddled the boat back as fast as we could for about 30 min...

From Abruzzo to Sicily

Cody: After Ale's house, we have made our way to Francesca's house! Me and Francesca on train to ACQUA LAND!

Will: Yup.

Cody: Will & Sara (Formal dance partners)

Will: Fun times.

Cody: We were forced to wear caps... me and michael phelps

Will: We won gold in the 100 meter water slide relay...

Cody: Made a visit to L'Aquila and met up with Eugenio!

Will: And a few other friends, Giordanni Nicoletta, from SNC!

mo' BEACH

Cody: Downtown Pescara next to some monument that looked important

Will: We are buddies.

Cody: Had pizza for dinner and ordered the popular pizza with french fries (this is normal)

Will: They use hotdogs a lot too, crazy!

Cody: Will liked the pizza so much, the camera couldn't capture him at such great eating speeds!

Will: haha, it was really good pizza

Cody: The night before, we had risotto! I was "sono pieno!!"

Will: Yeah i helped cook it!

Cody: More days at the beach, but this time, we had a paddleboat!

Will: yeah we saw a dolphin jump over the boat!

Cody: we're in a boat

Will: having fun

Cody: After jumping in 15 times

Will: psh like 10, i jumped way more

Cody: Ale e Will

Will: dangling on the side of the boat

Cody: High Five!..?

Will: Best friends forever!...?

Espresso self!

So the last post's title, "On to the next one," meant we have moved on to our next friend's house, Ale! Here, we go to the beach everyday. So far, Will and I have become fans of cappucinos, espresso, the BBC, pasta, cheese, and Italian beaches.

Most tourists come to Italy to see and observe Italian culture, and Will and I have become a part of it!

Will: At the Disco Techa, the purple building was VIP I think? mostly outside.

Cody: Imagine Jersey Shore x 1,000!
Will: Alessandra's house where we are staying now, with here dog lola.

Cody: Ale's in the back grilling some pork-chops and Italian sausage. Starting to salivate just thinking about it again...

Will: By a pool in a beachside restaurant, pretty nice.

Cody: MTV Cribs
